Job summary

The University of Virginia (UVA) Community Health seeks a Technical Assistant II - Nursing to work nights 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., three shifts per week.

You will provide patient care under the direction of a registered nurse, assist with room turnover, sampling, and basic clerical tasks, and support infection control and safety practices. Required: a high school diploma or GED, CNA/Phlebotomy/CMA/RMA certification as applicable, and one year of healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA/Phlebotomy/CMA/CCMA/RMA certification required per state.
• Basic computer knowledge and administrative skills.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Assists with room turnover and equipment cleaning.
• Maintains supplies and environment per policy.
• Performs clerical, phlebotomy and safety duties as assigned.
