Nexus Family Healing is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee medical services for a youth crisis and stabilization center in Minneapolis. This full-time onsite role coordinates admissions, medical treatments, and staff training to ensure high-quality care in a licensed setting.

The position requires RN licensure, a minimum of 5 years’ experience (preferably in residential care), and valid driver’s license. A comprehensive benefits package and sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience; preferably in a residential setting.
• First Aid/CPR/CPI/Infection Control certification.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsabilités

• Coordinates medical aspects of admissions and ensures completion of annual physical exams; arranges follow-up appointments and referrals.
• Coordinates the nursing department's delivery of medical services with the program team.
• Coordinates special needs appointments with external physicians and clinics.
• Collects and assesses residents' medical data; keeps medical records current.
• Monitors acute and chronic medical conditions; provides treatment or consult and communicates with physicians.
• Gathers relevant information and provides appropriate care in emergency situations; directs others as necessary.
• Serves as a resource to staff on resident medical issues.
• Participates in new client diagnostic meetings to ensure cohesive individual diagnosis in the client's ITP.
• Reviews and assesses Medication Administration Records (MARs); supervises medication administration and documentation; reports side effects to physicians.
• Coordinates and/or provides staff training in medication administration and infection control.
• Monitors prescriptions and medical supplies; ensures timely orders.
• Provides and tracks staff Hepatitis vaccines per guidelines.
• Provides first aid care/consultation to employees regarding work-related injuries as needed.
• Leads, coaches and develops staff; provides training and education regarding resident issues and Medicaid standards.
• Provides performance management and conducts evaluations; collaborates with HR on issues.
• Develops cohesive team and promotes shared accountability; enforces policies.
• Sources and recruits top talent; develops Nurse rotational program.
• Supervises and facilitates continuous education for internship program.
• Provides feedback to colleges regarding Nurse rotational program.
