HCA Florida Aventura Hospital in Florida is seeking an RN Supervisor Trauma to oversee the trauma program's daily functions and collaborate with the Trauma Program Director to ensure optimal patient care and program performance.
The role focuses on leading performance improvement activities, supervising Trauma Nurse Leads, and coordinating multidisciplinary rounds to align with ACS, Florida DOH, and hospital guidelines while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

The Trauma Supervisor is a nurse who is fundamental to the support of the trauma program, The role ensures oversight of the overall daily function of the Trauma Performance Improvement area and works in conjunction with the Trauma Program Director for the coordination of services required for the multi‑disciplinary team, supporting Trauma Nurse Leads (TNL) daily work and managing schedules to ensure resources are available for the trauma patients. This position will participate in the trauma process improvement process case reviews and documentation, prepare monthly multidisciplinary trauma quality meeting minutes and presentations with the Trauma Program Director. Identifies opportunities for improvement and manages the performance improvement program. Assist in developing trauma protocols and guidelines with the Trauma Program Director and the Trauma Medical Director. Ensures that all guidelines and protocols are consistent with the care being provided. Strive to improve and maintain quality of patient care and clinical knowledge and performance of members of the trauma team. Leads in a way that inspires commitment to the vision/mission/values of the organization. Implements evidence‑based employee engagement practices. Identifies development opportunities or training needs of individual employees and teams. Provides coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance. Responsible for meeting regulatory standards and complying with all mandatory reporting required by the trauma program, complying with corporate and hospital policy and procedures, managing patient information, promoting teamwork and positive customer service.
