Avardis Health is seeking a qualified Nursing Supervisor (RN or LPN) to lead the Ghent Nursing and Rehabilitation team. This full-time evening/night role emphasizes leadership, resident care, and compliance.

You will mentor staff, conduct assessments, and ensure care plans are implemented with compassion. Weekend availability is required; benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k), and PTO.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of practice (Virginia).
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• At least 1 year in nursing administration or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Commitment to high-quality resident care and compliance with policies.
• Ability to work weekends and adapt to shift needs.
• Completion of Preceptor Training or willingness to complete on hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure adequate coverage and quality care.
• Develop and deliver ongoing staff education and training.
• Provide direct resident care per individualized care plans.
• Conduct and document admissions assessments and ongoing evaluations.

Major Responsibilities

• Lead & Supervise Nursing Staff - Manage daily staffing needs, ensuring adequate coverage and quality resident care.
• Staff Development & Training - Assist in ongoing education, ensuring all staff are equipped to provide exceptional care.
• Direct Resident Care - Provide hands‑on nursing care, ensuring residents' medical needs are met in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Resident Assessments - Conduct and document comprehensive evaluations upon admission and throughout their stay.
• Treatment Planning & Compliance - Assist in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans while ensuring adherence to resident rights and facility policies.
• Recruit & Retain Nursing Talent - Play a key role in the hiring and retention of skilled nursing professionals.
• Conflict Resolution & Advocacy - Address concerns from residents and families, ensuring grievances are handled professionally and effectively.
• Drive Continuous Improvement - Implement new ideas, enhance processes, and support a positive, results‑driven management team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (preferred in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar setting).
• At least 1 year of experience in nursing administration.
