Position Summary

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse who is passionate about leading others and delivering exceptional resident care? As a Nursing Supervisor, you'll provide clinical leadership and support to our nursing team while helping ensure every resident receives safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. In this role, you'll oversee daily nursing operations, mentor and support clinical staff, coordinate resident care, and serve as a resource during routine operations and emergency situations. Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality resident care.
• Oversee daily nursing operations, staffing, and workflow to meet resident needs and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Conduct routine rounds to assess resident conditions, address clinical concerns, and provide support to nursing staff.
• Serve as a clinical resource by mentoring, coaching, and educating nurses and nursing assistants.
• Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate resident care and communicate changes in condition.
• Respond to emergencies, assess resident needs, and initiate appropriate clinical interventions.
• Assist with staffing needs, including coordinating coverage for call-ins and supporting units during periods of short staffing.
• Promote compliance with facility policies, infection prevention practices, and state and federal regulations.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives by conducting audits, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
• Support employee performance through coaching, documentation, and progressive discipline when appropriate.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and hospital transfers as needed.
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and timely completion of required reports and incident investigations.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment that supports both resident satisfaction and employee engagement.

Physical and Sensory Requirements

• Must be able to cope with the physical, mental, and emotional demands of a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Previous nursing supervisory or leadership experience required.
• IV therapy experience preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, nursing practices, and resident-centered care.
• Excellent leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Ability to coach, develop, and support nursing staff while fostering a positive team environment.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make sound clinical decisions.
