Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an Administrative Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing operations at The James Cancer Hospital and Research Institute during off-shift hours, including weekends and holidays. This role enforces hospital, nursing, and medical policies and procedures.

The supervisor conducts rounds, obtains reports from charge nurses, coordinates with other departments, and serves as liaison to OSUH.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Ohio licensure.
• Three years of inpatient RN experience required.
• BSN required.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the immediate care of patients on assigned tour of duty and conducts rounds in patient care areas.
• Obtains report from the charge nurse and is knowledgeable of current patient status.
• Supervises nursing department staff on duty and participates in personnel evaluations and actions.
• Coordinates nursing activities with related departments and serves as liaison to OSUH.
• Provides information for staffing needs and acts as James Cancer Hospital representative during crisis or unusual situations.
