Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, New York invites applications for a Nursing Supervisor on the Evening Shift (3:00 pm–11:15 pm). The role oversees patient care units, directs nursing staff, and ensures care aligns with New York State Nurse Practice Act and hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Nurse License, registration.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Supervisor oversees the management of patient care units for a specific tour, plans, directs and evaluates nursing care and staffing to meet patient needs according to NYS Nurse Practice Act and Calvary standards.

Responsibilities

The Nursing Supervisor oversees the management of patient care units for a specific tour. Utilizes the Nursing Process to plan, coordinate, direct and evaluate the management of patient care units and staff to achieve patient care. Interacts with all levels of nursing personnel and other departments to assure effective utilization of resources which meet the physiological, safety, spiritual and psycho-social needs of the patients and their families according to the New York State Nurse Practice Act, established standards of care for Calvary Hospital and Geriatric Standards of Care. Participates in the ongoing, systematic monitoring and evaluation of patient care.

• $126,554 - $160,054 annually (Full-time)
