Job summary

Columbus Regional Healthcare System is hiring a full-time Day Shift Nursing Supervisor. Provides managerial and clinical supervision across nursing departments during the assigned shift to assure safe patient care and compliance with policies.

Responsible for staff assignments, bed placement, and acting as a liaison for CNO/administration when needed. Strong leadership and acute care experience are preferred; BSN/MSN is a plus and CCU/ED experience is valued.

Qualifications

• RN license valid in NC or compact state.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and CPI certifications required at first opportunity after hire.
• Preferred: BSN or MSN with nursing leadership experience in acute care.

Hiring for a FT Day Shift Nursing Supervisor

Job Description

Provides managerial and clinical supervision for all nursing departments during their assigned shift. Coordinates bed placement, assigns and reallocates staff as needed to assure safe patient care levels, serves as representative of CNO and administration in their absence. Assures enforcement of all policies, procedures, processes and takes corrective action when indicated. Responsible for the overall function of the nursing department providing support, direction, education, and counseling to assure all patient care goals and those of our customers are met.

Qualifications

• Current NC or compact state RN license.
• BLS. ACLS, PALS and CPI certifications required at the first opportunity after hire.

Preferred: Baccalaureate or Master Degree in Nursing, prefer experience as nursing supervisor in an acute care setting, critical care experience.

Experience

A minimum of three - five years of acute care hospital nursing experience is required. Experience in CCU or ED is required. ADN candidates are required to have one year of management experience. BSN candidates, one year of management experience is preferred.
