Role & Responsibility:

  • Acts as an active member of the practice management team to support the care management model, standards of pediatric clinical practice, legal regulations, Code of Ethics and established policies.
  • Supervises professional, administrative and technical personnel (pediatric nurses, medical assistants, clinic assistants,) providing patient care.
  • Partners with Ambulatory Manager on business and financial operations.

Schedule & Location:

  • 1.0 FTE - 40 hours/week | Monday - Friday (Day Shift)
  • Milwaukee Hospital - Renal Clinic & Multidisciplinary Clinic

Education, License & Certifications:

  • Knowledge of nursing theory and practice as acquired through completion of a Bachelors degree in Nursing. Consideration will be given to applicants who are currently enrolled in a baccalaureate program in nursing with an anticipated graduation date within two years of hire/promotion.
  • Current CPR certification ' Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
  • A license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin.

Skills & Experience:

  • Two years of outpatient clinical experience. Preference being in Pediatrics.
  • Prior leadership experience required, preferably in supervisory capacity. Good organizational and patient relation skills.
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced patient load while paying attention to detail. High level of communication skills necessary for assessment of patient concerns and processing referrals for appropriate medical care.
  • Ability to read, interpret and enact policies and procedures.Ability to stand and walk approximately 75% of the work time.
