M Health Fairview St. John's Hospital located in Maplewood, MN is growing! We're looking for a dedicated Nursing Station Technician (NST) to care for patients on our new Outpatient / Short Stay department. Are you ready to join our growing campus? We'd love to have you on the team!
This position will work 48 Hours every two weeks (0.8 FTE) on the Day/Evening shift and is benefit eligible. The Nursing Station Technician will also work 8-hour shifts, work every other weekend.

The NST is a hybrid position consisting of both Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator roles to deliver direct patient care and administrative duties.
In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a nurse to demonstrate excellent customer service, collaboration and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team on a fast-paced unit. The NST assists the professional caregiver in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and/or equipment, setting up and maintaining rooms, reordering, and stocking supplies. In addition, the NST will maintain unit desk area functions such as answering phones, processing admissions, discharging and transferring forms, transcribing orders, assembling patient charts and ordering tests.

NOTE: Individuals who have completed a Nursing Assistant program and are scheduled to take the NA Registry exam will be granted 90 days post hire to become active on the registry.
