We at M Health Fairview are looking for a Nursing Station Technician at Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN! This position is 48 hours every two weeks on the Day shift, for 12 hour shifts, and every third weekend, and is eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and more. The starting base rate of pay for the position is $23.40. Candidates with experience may be brought in at a higher rate of pay.

This 29 bed unit specializes in the care of stroke patients, and a variety of neurologic diagnosis. Our Stroke Program is committed to decreasing the incidence and impact of stroke, and improving the quality of life for stroke survivors and their families.
The Nursing Station Technician is responsible for assisting the professional caregiver in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and/or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, reordering, and stocking supplies. Performs a wide range of clerical, transcription, and maintenance of patient care unit desk area functions. Coordinates the flow of communication on a patient care unit. The NST does not work autonomously but under the direction of the professional nurse. They may or may not be given a patient care assignment based on unit needs and the discretion of the manager/charge nurse.
The Nursing Station Technician is a hybrid position consisting of both Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator roles to deliver direct patient care and administrative duties.
In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to demonstrate excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team on a fast-paced unit.
