Fairview is looking for a Nursing Station Technician at the M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN! This position is 48 hours every two weeks on the Evening shift, for 8 hour shifts, and every other weekend, and is eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and more.

Do you have a special curiosity about orthopedics? Then the 3rd Floor Orthopedic Surgical Specialty Unit is right for you! This new 26 bed adult Medical/Surgical unit focuses on patients with an orthopedic diagnosis and was completed in the Fall of 2021. Current employees have praised the healthy work environment and enjoy how the unit is team-oriented and highly effective.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe Nursing Station Technician is responsible for assisting the professional caregiver in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and / or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, reordering, and stocking supplies. Performs a wide range of clerical, transcription, and maintenance of patient care unit desk area functions. Coordinates the flow of communication on a patient care unit. The NST does not work autonomously but under the direction of the professional nurse. They may or may not be given a patient care assignment based on unit needs and the discretion of the manager / charge nurse.
The Nursing Station Technician is a hybrid position consisting of both Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator roles to deliver direct patient care and administrative duties.
In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to demonstrate excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team on a fast paced unit.

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract.
