The Staffing Coordinator supports the Director of Nursing, coordinating hiring, staffing, and documentation to ensure adequate nursing unit coverage and compliant operations. CPR certification and de-escalation training are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 1 year experience working with psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting desired.
• Must have CPR certification and an Oceans approved behavioral health de-escalation program.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate nursing staff coverage across units and programs by evaluating staffing needs.
• Coordinate and communicate special time requests from nursing personnel to the Director of Nursing.
• Track attendance, absences, and call-outs; inform Nursing Director of trends.
• Assist with coordinating the hire process for nursing personnel and orient new staff.
• Document and report demographics and performance of MHTs and Milieu Managers as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of procedures and serve as back-up for units; ensure safe environment.
