Job summary

Galen College of Nursing in Pooler, GA seeks a Simulation Lab Manager to coordinate and support simulation experiences across nursing programs. You will ensure quality of CSLOs in collaboration with Directors of Clinical Learning, campus leadership, and faculty.

The role oversees simulation lab operations, staff hiring and training, and ongoing professional development in line with HSSOBP standards. This position emphasizes collaboration, compliance, and educational excellence.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered Licensure: Applicable state as a Registered Nurse.
• Education: Minimum MS in nursing; CHSE or eligible.
• Experience: 3+ years RN; 2+ years simulation teaching preferred.
• Special Qualifications: Knowledge of nursing skills; ability to use simulation models; strong communication and collaboration.
• Physical/Mental Demands: sedentary with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds; basic office tech use.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the general operation of the simulation laboratory.
• Assist faculty and students with simulation equipment and experiences.
• May substitute as faculty in simulation sessions as needed.
• Collaborate with campus leadership to train on equipment and supplies.
• Maintain equipment and inventory for simulation activities.
• Coordinate the use of clinical learning labs for classes and exams.
• Oversee orientation and training for faculty and technicians per standards.
• Mentor simulation staff under campus direction.
• Facilitate ongoing development in clinical simulation practices.
