Job summary

Cantex is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing Services. The role assists the Director of Nursing Services in directing and supervising daily nursing care in a facility, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and maintaining consistent quality care for patients/residents.

The position requires a current State license, at least two years of charge nurse/supervisory experience in LTAC, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Current and valid license in the applicable State.
• Minimum of two years charge nurse and supervisory experience in a long term care setting is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate day-to-day nursing care under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services.
• Ensure treatments, medications, and nursing services align with patient/resident care plans and physician orders.
• Participate in evaluations and disciplinary actions per policy as needed.
• Facilitate weekly and monthly committee meetings per policies and procedures.
• Conduct frequent rounds to ensure staff perform essential functions per guidelines.
• Ensure proper documentation of patient accidents or incidents and notify physician/family of significant health changes.
• Lead by example as a Team Leader/Role Model and take call as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Clinical Policies and Procedures by all Nursing Service personnel.
• Contribute to orientation and professional development of nursing staff.
• Complete employee evaluations annually or post probation with appropriate counsel.
