Job summary

Verrazano Nursing & Post-Acute Center is seeking an Associate Director of Nursing Services to lead the Nursing Department in a skilled nursing facility. The role ensures high-quality, resident-centered care in line with CMS and state regulations.

The ADNS serves as a clinical leader, mentor, and resource, supporting regulatory readiness, infection prevention, and staff development while coordinating with physicians and the broader care team.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Infection Preventionist certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CMS and CDC infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing daily nursing functions to ensure quality resident care.
• Oversee supervision of RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Ensure implementation of individualized care plans and physician orders.
• Conduct routine rounds to evaluate resident conditions and nursing practices.
• Monitor infection prevention practices and documentation.
• Participate in admissions, readmissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Review incidents, investigate concerns, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide hands-on clinical support when necessary.
