Job summary

Charles Drew Health Centers is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead Nursing Services, oversee budgets, and drive clinical quality across the organization. The role emphasizes strategic planning, policy development, and collaboration with physicians and administrators to deliver high-quality patient care.

The director will supervise nursing staff, participate in budget development, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards while promoting safety and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Masters preferred.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
• High level of knowledge of scope of practice for RN, LPN and MA.
• Demonstrated mastery of critical thinking, analytics, and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with EPM and/or EHR.

Responsibilities

• Serves as an expert nursing resource for the CDHC Medical/Clinic department.
• Establishes and disseminates policy and protocols to ensure uniform service delivery.
• Reviews and updates nursing care policies to align with law and practice standards.
• Oversees staffing and performance evaluations for nursing staff.
• Collaborates with other providers to deliver comprehensive care.
• Develops program plans and budgets for the nursing/medical program.
• Promotes safety and infection control across sites.
