Job summary

Quorum Health Corporation in Oregon is seeking a Director of Nursing Services to lead nursing operations and drive quality patient care. The role reports to the CNO and requires strong leadership to guide nurse staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and shape policies across the department.

The position demands a Registered Nurse with a Master’s degree in Nursing, at least 5 years of clinical nursing experience plus 5 years in management, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon.
• Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experience required plus 5 years of nursing management or directorship.
• Current BLS.

Responsibilities

• Assist the CNO in providing leadership to nurse employees that will enroll their support, create ownership of goals and have them actively participate in decisions that impact the hospital.
• Assist the CNO in maintaining regulatory compliance approvals and quality accreditation.
• Oversees operations in order to maintain standards of patient care; advises management, patient care staff and administrators in matters related to nursing service.
• Directs the establishment and implementation of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance.
• Interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups.
• Generally manages professional staff.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
• Leads and directs the work of others.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
