Job summary

Township High School District 211 is seeking a Nursing Services Administrator to organize, coordinate, and facilitate all aspects of the District's nursing services in compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and District policies.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field, Illinois RN license with School Nurse endorsement or IEP designation, 3–5 years nursing experience, and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor's Degree in nursing, education or a related field.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License with School Nurse endorsement OR Registered Nurse with IEP Designation from the Illinois State Board of Education.
  • Holds a current and unrestricted RN license in the State of Illinois.
  • Three to five (3-5) years' experience in Nursing.
  • Has current CPR certification or CPR Instructor's certification.
  • Considerable knowledge of the nursing process and community health nursing.
  • Considerable knowledge of current trends in healthcare delivery and treatment.
  • Considerable knowledge of the medical, legal, and ethical aspects of nursing.
  • Considerable knowledge of age-appropriate anticipatory guidance and health issues or concerns.
  • Working knowledge of community, medical, and social services resources.
  • Ability to assess student needs, formulate care plans, and evaluate plans of care.
  • Ability to provide culturally competent care.
  • Ability to monitor and record client-related outcomes and observations.
  • Ability to understand and implement standing orders and administer therapeutic prescriptions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, parents, students, and medical professionals.
  • Ability to work within guidelines established by District policies and/or grants.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Oversees the implementation of health services, medication administration, immunization compliance, and student medical records.
  • Develops, reviews, and updates District nursing procedures, health office protocols, and standard operating practices.

Job description
