Job summary

PACS is seeking a Nursing Supervisor/Director of Nursing Services to support planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing department in a long-term care setting. The role requires strong leadership, adherence to regulations, and proactive problem resolution.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, supervising nursing staff, maintaining procedures, and ensuring timely physician involvement. Strong knowledge of the MS Office suite and nursing licensure is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Must be in good standing with the State Board of Nursing and maintain all required continuing education/licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day to day functions of the nursing service department.
• Facilitate resolution of issues/concerns related to resident care including family issues.
• Ensure policies and procedures are current and reflect day to day nursing care procedures.
• Maintains the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and participates in quality assurance activities.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing forms, reports, and charting.
• Make nursing diagnoses that serve as the basis for care delivery and develop plans of care.
• Conduct daily rounds to ensure staff performance aligns with nursing standards and report findings to the Director.
• Review nursing notes for accuracy and resident responsiveness to care.
• Authorize restraints when necessary per policy.
• Provide health education to patients and families.
• Assist in developing annual in-service training programs.
