Active Day is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to members in accordance with physician orders and emergent needs. The role involves coordinating care with other disciplines and educating members, staff, families, and the community.

Responsibilities include administering medications, conducting initial assessments, monitoring vital signs, documenting progress, and ensuring compliance with policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• RN license, CPR certification, and malpractice insurance as applicable.
• 1–2 years of full-time experience in a licensed health care facility; geriatric/long-term care preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish may be required.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures; OSHA regulations and state/federal standards.
• Strong English communication, interpersonal, organizational and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care and administers medications per plan of care, physician orders, and emergent needs; documents in the medical record.
• Performs initial nursing assessments, monitors vital signs, and reports abnormalities to physician.
• Assists members with daily activities (hygiene, meals, ambulation, etc.) and provides health education.
• Provides emergency care and prepares incident reports; may perform Director of Nursing duties as required.
• Participates in continuing nursing education and complies with safety requirements.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to members in accordance with physician's orders and emergent needs. Duties involve coordinating care with other professional disciplines and providing instruction and assistance to members, staff, family members and the general community. The Registered Nurse ensures that all work complies with company policies and procedures, safety and regulatory laws and standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides nursing care and administers medication to members according to individual plan of care,physician's orders and emergent needs, and documents clinical and progress notes on themember's medical record.
• Performs initial nursing assessments, observes, monitors and documents members' vital signs andresponses to treatments and medications, reporting abnormalities to physician. Coordinates carewith other member care services (ie: Dietary, Pharmacy, Dental, Rehabilitation, Physical/Speech/Occupational Therapy, Audiology, DME).
• Assists members as needed with daily functional activities, including but not limited to, hygiene,meals, ambulation, arrivals and departures, and social activities.
• Provides health education and instruction to staff, members, family members and the generalcommunity as directed. Participates in facility marketing activities.
• Provides emergency care and prepares incident reports as required.
• May perform duties of Director of Nursing as required.
• Participate in continuing nursing education.
• Exposure to biological agents (ie: body fluids, micro-organisms)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: RN License, CPR certification, and valid malpractice insurance policy if applicable.
• Experience: 1-2 years full time equivalent experience in a licensed health care facility. Geriatric andlong term care experience preferred. May be required to be bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures
• Knowledge of NJ Dept of Health and Senior Services Manuals of Standards for Adult Day Health CareLicensure
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal environmental and OSHA regulations
