In this role, you’ll take on greater responsibility for implementing restorative care programs, monitoring resident progress, identifying changes in functional abilities, and collaborating with nursing and therapy teams. Guided by Western States Lodging & Management’s mission of Serving You Like Family, you’ll combine compassionate care with a strong focus on resident independence, dignity, and quality of life.

What’s in it for you- Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive Pay - $12.50 – 14.50 hourly.
    • The starting rate is based on experience and qualifications. This position participates in our compensation program, which provides opportunities for future pay growth based on performance and career development.
  • 401(k) with a dollar-for-dollar company match up to 4%
  • Hotel discounts at select Western States Lodging & Management properties
Eligible full-time associates are entitled to the following:
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans plus Health Savings Account (HSA) options
    • Optional supplemental benefits, including accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and other coverage options.
  • Personal Time Off (PTO) and Vacation benefits
What You’ll Do
  • Provide individualized restorative care according to resident care plans, therapy recommendations, and established restorative programs.
  • Implement restorative programs designed to maintain or improve residents’ mobility, strength, balance, range of motion, and ability to complete activities of daily living.
  • Assist residents with walking, transfers, positioning, range-of-motion exercises, mobility devices, and other restorative activities.
  • Encourage residents to perform daily activities as independently as safely possible rather than completing tasks for them.
  • Provide assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other activities of daily living while promoting resident independence.
  • Monitor resident participation, tolerance, functional abilities, and progress during restorative activities.
  • Recognize changes or declines in a resident’s mobility, strength, balance, cognition, or ability to complete daily activities and communicate concerns promptly.
  • Accurately document restorative services, resident participation, progress, refusals, and other relevant observations.
  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy, life enrichment, and other care team members to support individualized resident goals.
  • Reinforce techniques and recommendations established by physical, occupational, or other therapy professionals.
  • Provide additional guidance and support to less-experienced care associates regarding restorative approaches and techniques.
  • Assist with maintaining restorative equipment and ensure equipment is clean, safe, and used appropriately.
  • Provide compassionate support and companionship to residents, including individuals living with dementia or cognitive impairments.
  • Maintain resident dignity, privacy, preferences, and personal choice throughout all care and restorative activities.
  • Follow community policies, infection-control procedures, safety practices, and applicable state and federal requirements.
  • Participate in resident care discussions and communicate relevant observations that may assist the interdisciplinary team in evaluating resident needs.
What Makes You Successful
  • Previous experience in caregiving, senior living, rehabilitation, restorative care, skilled nursing, or a related healthcare environment.
  • CNA certification preferred and may be required depending on community or state requirements.
  • Previous experience assisting with restorative nursing, rehabilitation, mobility, or activities of daily living preferred.
  • Experience supporting seniors with dementia or cognitive impairments is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of restorative care techniques, mobility assistance, transfers, positioning, and range-of-motion activities.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate changes in resident condition or functional abilities.
  • Strong documentation, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with nursing, therapy, residents, families, and other associates.
  • Ability to provide guidance and serve as a positive resource to less-experienced care team members.
  • Compassionate, patient, dependable, and committed to maintaining resident dignity and independence.
  • Ability to follow individualized care plans and established restorative programs with limited supervision.
You Know You’re Successful When…

Residents are actively engaged in maintaining their strength, mobility, daily living skills, and independence to the greatest extent safely possible. You consistently carry out restorative programs, accurately document resident progress, recognize and communicate changes in functional abilities, and work collaboratively with nursing and therapy teams to provide personalized care that helps residents maintain their confidence and quality of life.
