Job summary

Covenant Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse Regulatory Specialist to manage regulatory compliance across Joint Commission, CMS, and Tennessee requirements. You will lead training, coordinate surveys, and ensure readiness through ongoing education and internal audits.

The role reports to the Quality Manager and requires hospital-based experience, strong organizational skills, and Tennessee RN licensure. Local travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or an Associate’s degree in Nursing with two years in a quality department.
• Five years’ hospital experience and knowledge of Joint Commission standards.
• Tennessee RN licensure and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, budget, monitor, and evaluate performance for regulatory/licensing agencies.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations and educate leadership on new standards.
• Coordinate maintenance of CIHQ contract and annual Joint Commission applications.
• Lead mock surveys and regulatory readiness activities with system stakeholders.
• Direct onsite survey activities and collaborate with hospital teams for compliance.
• Travel locally as required to support regulatory activities.
• Perform departmental rounds and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Associate’s degree in Nursing

Master’s degree preferred
