Every role impacts patient lives, and we seek a dedicated Regulatory and Accreditation Clinical Compliance Audit Manager to join our team.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Internal Audit Department provides independent assessments to validate management controls and support corporate responsibilities to achieve our mission. The Clinical Compliance Team conducts audits and onsite or remote assessments within HCA Healthcare hospitals, focusing on accreditation (e.g., The Joint Commission), federal, state, regulations, emergency and nursing services, etc. Audits include reviewing medical records and billing for compliance with policies and regulations. The goal is to assist facility management in ensuring compliance with company processes and CMS requirements. The team collaborates with facility, division, and corporate personnel to promote compliance. The Clinical Compliance Audit Manager will participate in various audit engagements, working with team members at different levels and receiving formal evaluations twice yearly.

What you will do in this role:

  • Demonstrate understanding of TJC, CMS, federal, and state regulations.
  • Perform onsite and remote assessments of compliance in clinical and organizational areas.
  • Review hospital systems for compliance with legal, regulatory, and licensure standards.
  • Understand healthcare industry trends and communicate relevant developments.
  • Discuss complex audit issues with team and management.
  • Communicate audit objectives and roles to team members and clients.
  • Execute audit procedures, analyze evidence, and develop conclusions on complex issues.
  • Review documentation for consistency with guidance and department standards.
  • Develop detailed reports on compliance issues found during audits.
  • Assist facilities with action plans and follow-up.
  • Contribute to audit program development and quality assurance.
  • Participate in educational, administrative, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications needed:

  • Active RN license with 5+ years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience or certification in TJC regulatory compliance.
  • Management or supervisory nursing experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25-30%.
