Socket.dev is seeking a Program Director to oversee the Practical Nursing program at our Town of Florida campus. The role demands expert program administration, curriculum design, instruction, and evaluation to ensure program excellence.

You will lead budgeting, faculty mentoring, accreditation activities, and collaboration with clinical sites, shaping education that meets student and community needs. The successful candidate will bring a Masters in Nursing, RN licensure, and proven academic

Qualifications

• Masters in Nursing (minimum) required.
• Current, unrestricted State RN License.
• Academic leadership experience, minimum 2 years.
• Full-time teaching experience, minimum 2 years.
• Full-time nursing practice experience, minimum 4 years.
• Familiarity with accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

• Work with faculty, Dean, and campus leadership to assure program effectiveness.
• Identify trends in nursing education, best practices, and curricular updates.
• Participate in budget planning and manage instructional resources.
• Provide input to the program section of the school’s master plan.
• Maintain a systematic evaluation plan aligned with student and program outcomes.
• Conduct reviews of textbooks, training materials, and assessment tools.
• Observe and evaluate faculty performance and provide timely feedback.
• Lead regular departmental and curriculum meetings; engage Advisory Board.
• Cultivate clinical site relationships and evaluate clinical education effectiveness.
• Review Clinical scheduling and oversee the Clinical Coordinator role.
• Collaborate with campus Librarian to keep resources current.
• Stay current with professional development and educational methodologies.
