Job summary

The UNLV School of Nursing invites applications for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor (Tenure or Tenure Track). Primary responsibilities include teaching nursing courses, collaborating on course development, using WebCampus/Canvas to foster learning, supervising students, and participating in service activities.

The department offers BSN, MS, DNP, and PhD programs. A doctorate in nursing or related field is required, with eligibility for Nevada RN license; applicants

Qualifications

• The individual must hold a doctorate in nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• The individual must hold or be qualified to hold a Nevada RN license.
• Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.

Responsibilities

• Teach nursing courses consistent with area of expertise.
• Collaborate with faculty in course development.
• Use WebCampus/Canvas to foster learning.
• Provide student supervision.
• Participate in school, university, professional and community service.
• Engage in research leading to publications in quality, refereed journals.
• Seek internal and external grant funds.
