The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in the School of Nursing. The position is tenure or tenure-track with responsibilities in teaching, scholarship, and service.

Responsibilities include teaching courses, developing curricula, using Canvas, supervising students, engaging in research leading to publications, seeking internal and external grants, and participating in university and community service.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
• Qualified to hold Nevada RN license.
• Background check required before employment.
• Credentials must be obtained prior to start of employment.
• Faculty rank will depend on educational credentials, terminal degree, experience, and scholarly achievement.
• Senior level nursing faculty must possess extensive scholarly achievement.
• Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track): terminal degree and active research.
• Associate/Professor (tenured): terminal degree and a strong research record.

Responsibilities

• Teach nursing courses consistent with area of expertise.
• Collaborate with other faculty in course development.
• Use teaching resources such as WebCampus/Canvas to foster learning.
• Provide student supervision.
• Participate in school, university, professional and community service activities.
• Engage in research leading to publications in refereed journals.
• Seek internal and external grant funds.
