Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE seeks a Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS) for Preop/Pacu. The role develops, coordinates, implements and evaluates education for nursing staff, aligning activities with standardized Nursing Professional Development functions.

The ideal candidate has a BSN and 3+ years of clinical experience, strong communication skills, and BLS certification. This is a full-time day position offering growth and tuition support.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years current applicable clinical experience in a health care setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required.
  • Plan development activities that impact outcomes and performance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to instruct and collaborate with others.
  • Ability to solve complex problems with a structured approach.
  • Knowledge of systems/change theory, teaching/learning principles and research outcomes.
  • Balance and prioritize diverse clinical and leadership responsibilities.
  • Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state.
  • BLS certification from an AHA-endorsed program.
