Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando is seeking a Nursing Workforce Innovation Leader to drive strategies that improve nursing care delivery and career pathways within the nursing workforce.

You will partner with academic and community organizations to create experiential learning opportunities, mentor students and staff, and lead change-management initiatives to align care models with magnet standards and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of best practices in professional nursing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Provides quality coaching and mentoring support.
• Ability to function well with a diverse community and employee population.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suites (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Change management and/or process improvement experience.
• Ability to conduct primary and secondary research is preferred.
• Ability to design, structure, implement and evaluate care delivery models is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts periodic assessments and evaluations of innovative nursing programs, implementing changes as necessary.
• Works with leaders to identify, implement, and evaluate processes that drive exceptional clinical outcomes through nursing workforce innovation.
• Participates in leadership programs to oversee clinical quality training and develop measures to improve patient care quality.
• Provides ongoing coaching and mentoring to workforce innovation students and team members.
• Implements processes that support local academic institutions’ needs, leveraging students into acute care settings.
• Utilizes Change Management Principles to support leaders in meeting goals through Healthy Work Environment models.
• Functions as an advisor for interdisciplinary teams to maintain clinical expertise aligned with current trends.
• Networks to present and publish nursing research outcomes; supports campus-level research sustaining magnet standards.

• Functions as an advisor for interdisciplinary teams to maintain clinical expertise aligned with current trends and workforce development programs.
• Networks with appropriate forums to present and publish nursing research outcomes.
• Initiates and supports research projects at the campus level to sustain magnet standards and accreditation through data collection, evaluation, and statistical analysis.
