Job summary

Beaumont Health is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist to advance the practice of the NPD specialty across the organization. The role develops and evaluates professional development programs, collaborates with leadership and staff, and aligns education with patient outcomes and organizational goals.

The incumbent will apply evidence-based practice, manage learning plans, and contribute to quality improvement through education.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
• At least 3 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• About 5 years of education experience is preferred.
• RN license in Michigan is required at hire.
• Board Certification in Nursing Professional Development (BC-NPD) with 2+ years’ experience is required at hire.
• BLS certification required at hire (AHA or ARC).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate professional development programs.
• Analyze learning needs and apply educational theories to curricula.
• Measure outcomes of programs and adjust for quality improvement.
• Collaborate with leadership and staff to advance practice and patient outcomes.
• Ensure ethical handling of education data and confidentiality.
