Job summary

Northwell Health in New York is seeking an experienced Nursing Education Specialist. You will serve as educator, facilitator, change agent, leader, consultant and researcher in nursing education and will develop orientation and staff development programs along with continuing education initiatives.

The role requires a Master’s degree in nursing, NYS/CT nursing licensure, and 4–7 years of technical nursing experience with 0–2 years in leadership.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in nursing is required.
Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in NYS and/or CT.
4–7 years of technical nursing experience with 0–2 years in leadership/management.

Responsibilities

Assess learner characteristics and needs for program development and evaluate outcomes.
Design and implement staff development and continuing education programs.
Lead development and evaluation of orientation programs and educational initiatives.
Maintain regulatory compliance and promote evidence-based practice.
Foster ethical, cultural, and professional growth in learners.
