Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner to lead education and competency development across multiple hospital settings in the Tampa Bay area.

The role focuses on onboarding, evidence-based teaching, and collaboration with clinical teams to elevate patient outcomes and professional growth within BayCare’s ANPD-aligned standards.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Bachelors degree in Nursing or higher.
• Minimum three (3) years RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Clinical experience aligned with specialty area of interest.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS certification through AHA.

Responsibilities

• Assess learning needs and lead evidence-based educational initiatives.
• Support onboarding, competency development, and professional growth for clinical team members.
• Serve as trusted educator, consultant, and resource for evidence-based practice.
• Partner with leaders and interdisciplinary teams to advance quality outcomes.
• Champion continuous learning and practice improvement as a change agent.
• Practice in accordance with ANPD Scope and Standards of Practice.

The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner assesses learning needs, develops and implements educational activities, supports onboarding and competency development, and partners with clinical teams to enhance professional growth and quality patient outcomes in accordance with the ANPD Scope and Standards of Practice.

Your Role Within The Team
