Job summary

Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking a MED-SURG RN for a 13-week assignment in Moab, Utah. Schedule includes 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 7 days on/7 days off bi-weekly pay. Requires Utah license, BLS; ACLS/PALS within 1 year; NRP within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform general nursing duties and patient care in MED-SURG.
• Care for postpartum neonates to geriatrics across units.

• Apply infection control, patient safety, and medication safety principles.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and calmness under stress.
• Collaborate with team and communicate effectively; protect patient confidentiality.
• Cross-train in ED and/or PACU; support postpartum, infusion, and wound therapies.

Job Title: MED-SURG
Location: Moab, Utah
Schedule: 7:00PM - 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $59 - $63/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Moab, Utah. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:

• Perform a wide range of general nursing duties, providing direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical department
• Provide care for patients ranging from post-partum neonates to geriatrics across medical, surgical, high acuity, rehabilitative, skilled, and pediatric areas
• Work anticipated schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off per bi-weekly pay period on night shifts (6PM to 6AM)
• Maintain current, unencumbered Utah or compact state RN license
• Maintain current BLS certification; obtain and maintain current ACLS and PALS certifications within one year of hire if not already obtained
• Earn NRP certification and provide patient care appropriate to certification within one year of hire
• Apply knowledge of infection control principles, patient safety techniques, and prevention of adverse reactions to medications and treatments
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and ability to maintain composure in situations with rapidly changing circumstances
• Work successfully both independently and as part of a team
• Provide excellent customer service and communication, including oral, written, and listening skills
• Receive and manage sensitive information professionally while maintaining confidentiality at all times
• Handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
• Maintain reliability and timeliness with work schedule
• Expand skill sets into post-partum care, infusion, and wound therapies as opportunities arise
• Cross-train in the Emergency Department and/or PACU as opportunities arise
• Accept flexibility and willingness to take on other duties as assigned
