Mercyhealth, a multi-hospital system in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, is seeking a Manager of Inpatient Nursing. The role provides strategic and operational leadership across anesthesia-related services, PACU, and related nursing departments to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

The position emphasizes staffing planning, development, budget accountability, and performance improvement, with a focus on regulatory compliance and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Masters' degree in a related field preferred.
• RN licensure in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for inpatient nursing departments (Outpatient Surgery, PACU, Pre-Anesthesia, IV Therapy).
• Oversee staffing plans, staff development, scheduling and competency evaluation.
• Manage budgets, cost controls, and productivity to meet organizational objectives.
• Lead quality and safety initiatives, performance improvement, and accreditation readiness.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and effective physician relationships.
