Job summary

Desert Care Network is seeking a Registered Nurse Manager for our Continuing Care Center in California. The role is full-time, 7:30am to 4:00pm, with day shifts.

You will lead the center, oversee staff development and performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage costs within budget while collaborating with medical directors to enhance services and quality. Access to patient information compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent
• Required: Current California RN license
• Required: DSD certification or qualify within 30 days of hire
• Required: American Heart Association BLS Certification (maintain current)
• Two years clinical experience
• Progressive healthcare experience including at least two years’ supervisory experience
• Basic computer competence
• Demonstrated competence as a leader/ previous management experience required

Responsibilities

• The Manager has 24-hour, 7 days a week responsibility to provide leadership for the Continuing Care Center.
• Includes planning, organizing, staff development, performance management, quality fiscal and information management, regulatory compliance, and relationship building with customers.
• Accountable for management of cost centers within the budget.
• Work with medical directors to develop services and ensure quality.
• Access to all Patient Health Information.

Job Summary

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in acute or post-acute care
• Current California RN license
• DSD certification required or should qualify within 30 days of hire
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (maintain current at all times)
• Three (2) years clinical experience
• Current knowledge of the field, with evidence of ongoing continuing education
• Progressive healthcare experience including at least two years’ supervisory experience
• Basic computer competence
• Demonstrated competence as a leader/ previous management experience required

Preferred

• MDS Certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Master’s degree in Nursing
