Responsibilities

Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. The Rehabilitation Institute, the hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department. Essential Job Duties:

This position reports to the Director and has initial oversight and staff scheduling for the department. Provides leadership for the department and assists with direction in achieving service growth and achievement. Assists in the development and evaluation of all nursing personnel, and maintains operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with support services. Assists director to assure that HC AHPS, patient, employee, and physicians satisfaction scores are all in acceptable ranges and improving. Assures department is Survey ready at all times, including nursing documentation, facility, and all National Patient Safety Goals.


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 year’s previous experience as an RN with at least 1 year recent experience in an acute care facility.
  • 1 - 2 years previous education and management/leadership experience required.
  • RN certification from a nationally recognized accrediting organization, BSN in process of completion
  • RN licensed by the State of California.
  • American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, AND PALS at time of employment.
  • CPI required within 30 days of hire.
