Job summary

The HealthCare Initiative is seeking an experienced ED Manager to lead a busy Emergency Department at a growing Critical Access Hospital. You will supervise 40 FTEs, mentor a nursing team, and collaborate with nursing and executive leadership to drive quality patient care and operational excellence.

This role emphasizes process improvement, staff engagement, and program development in a rural healthcare setting. Competitive compensation and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

  • RN license required and BSN preferred or in progress.
  • 3+ years of hospital nursing experience.
  • 3+ years in supervisory or management roles.
  • ED experience preferred; ICU/CCU experience welcomed.
  • Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • TNCC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the clinical and operational oversight of the Emergency Department.
  • Mentor and support a high-performing nursing team.
  • Oversee staffing, budgeting, and departmental operations.
  • Ensure quality, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.
  • Partner with physicians and leadership to enhance patient care and department performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the clinical and operational oversight of the Emergency Department
  • Mentor and support a high-performing nursing team

  • Partner with physicians and leadership to enhance patient care and department performance
Qualifications
  • BSN, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with a BSN currently in progress
  • Current Registered Nurse license
  • 3+ years of recent hospital nursing experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience
  • Emergency Department experience preferred
  • ICU/Critical Care experience welcomed
  • Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • TNCC certification preferred
