Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Nurse Manager for a community health/wellness clinic in West Hollywood, CA. The role blends staff administration (scheduling, evaluations, leadership) with RN patient care, typically 1 admin day and 3–4 patient care days weekly.

The position supports culturally competent care for LGBT and underserved communities, reporting to the Nursing Director. A California RN with a BA in Nursing and clinic leadership experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of RN experience with a BA in Nursing.
• 2 years in an outpatient, ambulatory health care clinic (preferably at an FQHC).
• 2 years in management in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Experience in ambulatory/outpatient clinic, hospital ER, family/primary/internal medicine or nonprofit settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff scheduling, evaluations, performance, oversight, conflict resolution and leadership.
• Provide RN patient care as needed (1 day admin, typically 3–4 days patient care).

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Nurse Manager for a community health/wellness clinic in West Hollywood, CA. The position incorporates patient care and administrative duties under the supervision of the Nursing Director.

The Nurse Manager will manage on average 5 employees between MA's, LVN's, RNs and administrative staff. 75% of responsibilities are geared toward staff administration (scheduling, evaluations, performance, oversight, conflict resolution, leadership etc.) and 25% of the role includes RN patient care when necessary (1 day of admin work, usually 3-4 days of patient care).

Schedule is Monday to Friday 8-5p PST (closed for 1 hour lunch) and no weekends.

Clinic Overview: The clinic provides culturally competent medical, services to low-income adult individuals in Los Angeles County, with a specific focus on the LGBT community and other underserved communities.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5 years’ experience as an RN with a BA in Nursing
• 2 years experience in an outpatient, ambulatory health care clinic, preferably at a federally qualified health center (FQHC).
• 2 years’ experience in management in a clinical or hospital setting required
• Must have experience from ambulatory health, outpatient clinic, hospital ER, family/primary/internal med practice OR non profit

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience in an HIV medical practice is preferred.
• Experience in chronic disease management, case management, utilization management and quality improvement projects.
