Job summary

Sevita in Florida is seeking an LPN/LVN to advance your nursing career in a setting that delivers high‑impact care to adults with brain injury, intellectual and developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, and emotional or behavioral challenges.

You will administer medications, conduct assessments, and provide prescribed treatments per physician orders while training staff on safety, infection control, and patient education, coordinating with external providers.

Qualifications

• Requires LPN/LVN licensure in the state of residence.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with the population served in a nursing capacity.
• Certifications such as CPR/FA, HIV/AIDS, BBP, and ACT training are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prescribed medical treatments per physician order and perform personal care services.
• Conduct assessments, implement health‑care services for each Individual Service Plan (ISP), and respond to changes in condition.
• Provide staff training on universal precautions, infection control, and medication administration.
• Serve as liaison and advocate with medical and professional providers, and coordinate services with external agencies.
• Educate individuals served on self‑medication, prescribed treatments, sex education/STD prevention, and smoking cessation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing or related field, or state certificate.
• At least one year of experience working with the population served in a nursing capacity.
• Current state LPN or LVN licensure for the state of residence.
• Current driver’s license, car registration, and auto insurance.
• Required certifications such as CPR/FA, HIV/AIDS certification, BBP, and ACT training.
• Strong communication skills with staff, individuals served, and their families.
