Genesiscareers in New Jersey is launching a Director of Nursing in Training (DON-IT) program designed to develop future clinical leaders in skilled nursing and long-term care.

As a DON-IT, you will rotate through key clinical and operational areas, gain mentorship from experienced DONs, and work on projects that improve resident care and staff engagement.

The program emphasizes leadership, regulatory readiness, and capstone work culminating in presentation to center and regional leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Director of Nursing in Training (DON-IT) program through mentorship and real-world clinical leadership exposure.
• Rotate through clinical and operational areas to understand how nursing leadership impacts quality outcomes, staffing, and resident experience.
• Complete capstone project and present to nursing center, Pod, or national leadership.
