Job summary

Absolut Care of Gasport is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to lead the nursing department, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality resident care. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to coordinate day-to-day operations and promote a positive work environment.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication with residents, families, and team members to deliver compassionate, compliant care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a long-term care setting, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
• Infection Prevention Module Certification.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interact with residents, families, and staff in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including leadership, staffing, and resident care.
• Will hold General Orientation weekly for new hires.
• Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Manage and coordinate the daily activities of the nursing department, including scheduling, staffing, and resident care.
• Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, encouraging professional development and promoting a positive work environment.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as medication administration, therapy, and dietary, to ensure comprehensive care for our residents.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the delivery of care.
• Develop and maintain relationships with families, residents, and healthcare providers to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
