Job summary

Elmhurst Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing for a full-time day position (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM). The role leads nursing operations and supports high-quality resident care.

The candidate will supervise nursing staff, ensure safety and compliance, and collaborate with administration. Rhode Island RN license and 3+ years of clinical nursing experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Rhode Island.
• Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience in a hospital, nursing care center, or related setting.
• Supervisory/leadership experience required.
• Experience in rehabilitative/restorative nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork with staff, residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning nursing operations and setting priorities.
• Serve as care champion for the dialysis den, ensuring clinical excellence and coordination.
• Monitor units, communicate policies, evaluate performance and coach staff as needed.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with residents, families, staff and the interdisciplinary team.
• Carry out and oversee administrative functions to support efficient and compliant Nursing Services.
