Job summary
Friendship Haven Health & Rehabilitation Center in Friendswood, TX is seeking an Assistant Director of Nurses (LVN/RN) to lead nursing operations and ensure high-quality patient care. This role supports the Director of Nursing and supervises LVNs and other nursing staff to maintain optimal staffing and service delivery.
The ideal candidate holds a Texas LVN/RN license with 3+ years of clinical nursing and leadership experience, strong infection control knowledge, and proficiency with EHR
Qualifications
- Texas LVN or RN license valid and current.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably LTC.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in nursing.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and patient care standards.
- Experience in Infection Control/Prevention and EHR documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Nursing in staffing, schedules, and evaluations.
- Direct supervision of LVNs and nursing staff, promoting development.
- Monitor care activities for compliance with protocols and standards.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to align patient care plans.
- Develop and evaluate nursing policies and quality programs.
- Respond to patient and family concerns with compassionate care.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and staffing records.
- Support infection control and safety initiatives.
