Job summary

Lotus Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing / Staff Development Coordinator (ADON/SDC) to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations and leading staff education and development.

This role focuses on high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and building a well-trained nursing team dedicated to continuous improvement and a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license (North Carolina).
• Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• 1–2 years nursing leadership, supervision, education, or staff development experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices and long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate nursing services in partnership with the Director of Nursing.
• Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to nursing staff.
• Monitor compliance with federal/state regulations and facility policies.
• Develop and implement education and training programs for staff.
• Maintain records of employee education, competencies, and licenses.
• Coordinate quality improvement initiatives and infection prevention efforts.
