Job summary

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) in Reno, Nevada seeks a Nursing Laboratory Coordinator to manage the nursing teaching laboratory. The role encompasses scheduling, supplies, equipment, and acting as a technical resource for faculty and students within the nursing program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and one year of clinical experience or an Associate degree with three years of clinical experience.
• LPN, RN or EMT licensure/certification.
• Healthcare Simulation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the nursing laboratory including scheduling, supplies and equipment for the nursing program.
• Assist with organization of laboratory activities.
• Provide technical support for faculty for all equipment, software and patient simulators.
• Purchase supplies and equipment for the nursing program with budget review with the Director of Nursing.
• Organize, set up and take down of student laboratory experiences.
• Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain laboratory supplies and inventory.
• Manage student software study resources and related materials.
• Handle transportation and lifting of equipment including heavy mannequins and supplies.
• Support the educational mission with a collaborative approach for students and staff.

SUMMARY

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada is seeking applicants for a Nursing Laboratory Coordinator. The position will be responsible primarily for management of the nursing teaching laboratory.

MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degree and one (1) year of clinical experience
• OR; Associates degree and three (3) years of clinical experience.
• LPN, RN, or EMT
• Healthcare Simulation experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical knowledge in a healthcare field.
• Knowledge of purchasing, finance, budgeting and materials management.
