Job summary

NONPF seeks a Nursing Lab & BNA Support Assistant (Part-time) to assist in nursing labs and basic nursing assistant labs across MVCC campuses (Palos Hills, Blue Island ECBI, Tinley SWEC). The role emphasizes mentoring students, incorporating technology, and validating clinical skills.

Requires a Master’s in Nursing and IL RN license with recent clinical/teaching experience. Candidate must be available for all MVCC campuses and schedule flexibility, including occasional Saturdays and weekday

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s degree in Nursing and an active IL RN license.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience in the past five years; teaching/clinical lab experience preferred.
• Commitment to student success and ability to work across MVCC campuses.

Responsibilities

• Support Nursing Lab and BNA Lab activities and skills validation.
• Mentor students, work with lab staff and department faculty to reinforce concepts.
• Coordinate scheduling, including Saturdays; participate across all MVCC campuses.

Duties

The Nursing and Basic Nursing Assistant Lab Assistant position requires a strong commitment to student mentoring and support, while incorporating technology and innovation in the reinforcing of concepts, clinical judgement, and validation of skills. Candidates must be able to work actively and collegially with lab staff and department faculty. Other related nursing lab support responsibilities may be assigned.

Candidate must be willing to work all MVCC campuses (Main Campus in Palos Hills, Blue Island ECBI , Tinley SWEC )

Education/Experience

Requires a Master's degree in Nursing; a minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in the past five years and a current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in IL.

Recent clinical experience, simulation/lab experience, and/or teaching experience in a community college nursing program preferred.

• Ability to work one Saturday a month as needed, and be available to work Monday through Friday some of the hours preferably in the afternoons and evenings.
