Job summary

Saint Luke's Hospital is looking for a Nursing Student to join the Surgical Intermediate Cardiac Care unit. The Nursing Intern performs clinical procedures and provides patient care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The Nurse Intern position is part-time and PRN with a minimum of 1 shift every 6 weeks. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited RN program with a graduation date in 2026/2027 and hold Basic Life Support certification.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program with expected graduation 2026/2027.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Ability to perform nursing clinical procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Perform clinical procedures and direct/indirect patient care activities.
• Support other health care team members and follow unit competency validation.
• Work PRN with minimum 1 shift per 6 week schedule.

Job Description

Saint Luke's Hospital is looking for a Nursing Student to join the Surgical Intermediate Cardiac Care unit!

Position : Nurse Intern - Surgical Intermediate Cardiac Care

Schedule : PRN; Minimum 1 shift per 6 week schedule

The Nursing Intern is for students currently enrolled in an accredited RN program who have completed a Fundamentals of Nursing course and have a graduation date in 2026/2027. The Nursing Intern performs clinical procedures and provides patient care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Performs direct and indirect patient care activities. Provides support to other health care team members. The Nursing Intern may perform technical tasks per unit competency validation. However, Nursing Interns are restricted from performing any licensed tasks.

The Nurse Intern position is for students currently enrolled in an accredited RN program who have completed the Fundamentals of Nursing . We are currently looking for nursing students whose expected graduation date is in 2027/2028
