Job summary

Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). This part-time night position, scheduled for 24 hours per week, offers opportunities to work with intensivists, NP’s, and night respiratory therapy support.

The role emphasizes nursing process, patient care, and coordination of care among the team. Required are 2 years of relevant experience, ACLS certification, and MO RN licensure via NURSYS.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support required by American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Registered Nurse (MO) licensure via NCSBN/NURSYS.
• Minimum 2 years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• In-hospital nursing care following the nursing process and standards.
• Supervise other patient care staff and delegate tasks.
• Coordinate plan of care for a group of patients and consult with health-care team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Adhere to policies, guidelines and procedures of the unit.

Job Description

Saint Luke's Hospital is looking for a talented Registered Nurse to join the dynamic Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – CICU

Schedule: Part Time, 24 hours, Nights

Supportive leadership team, with Nursing Assistants to assist

Intensivists and NP’s work alongside RNs during shifts, Respiratory Therapy available at night

Extra incentives available for picking up additional shifts

In hospital setting, accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff. Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.
