Job summary

Saint Luke's East Hospital is seeking a Nursing Student to join the Medical Telemetry team as a Nursing Intern. The role supports patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and participates in direct and indirect activities to assist the health care team.

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited RN program and have completed Fundamentals of Nursing, with graduation dates in 2026/2027 or 2027/2028. BLS certification is required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited RN program.
• Completed Fundamentals of Nursing course.
• BLS certification preferred (AHA/Red Cross).
• Expected graduation date in 2026/2027 or 2027/2028.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical procedures and provides patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Provides support to other health care team members.
• May perform technical tasks per unit competency validation but cannot perform licensed tasks.

Performs direct and indirect patient care activities. Provides support to other health care team members. The Nursing Intern may perform technical tasks per unit competency validation.
