Job summary

Sierra College seeks a nursing educator to collaborate with nursing faculty and the program director in ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the district's nursing programs. You will instruct nursing courses, supervise clinical experiences, and maintain records while aligning with BRN requirements and state regulations.

The role requires a California RN license, BRN qualification, and a minimum two years of RN practice with recent teaching experience.

Qualifications

Master's or higher degree in nursing or equivalent as determined by BRN.
Valid, active California RN license (BRN) and CA driver's license for travel among sites.
Minimum of two years' RN experience with direct patient care within the last five years.
At least one year of teaching nursing or teaching that included nursing practice.

Responsibilities

Participate in ongoing faculty meetings to plan, evaluate and develop nursing programs and materials.
Instruct theory and clinical nursing courses, provide feedback and evaluate student performance.
Maintain accurate student records and contribute to curriculum development and program evaluation.
Assist in establishing clinical facilities and coordinating student clinical experiences with external agencies.
Represent and contribute to shared governance and program policy development.
